Casual Nursery Assistant 

Wariapendi Native Nursery is committed to the enhancement of our natural environment across the Southern Highlands. For over 38 years we have enriched our natural surrounds and encouraged the use of native plants in residential gardens and large-scale properties. 

An exciting, flexible opportunity is available for an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join our friendly team at the nursery which is located in the Southern Highlands. 

As a Nursery Assistant, we will develop your skills with:

• plant identification and cultural requirements

• customer service

• watering, fertilising, and pruning plants

• sales displays

• pest, disease and weed inspection and control

This is a great opportunity to be mentored by senior horticulturists and the hours are flexible for the right person ie school hours. Some Saturday work is required.

The successful candidate will be:

• passionate about native plants and horticulture

• self-motivated and keen to learn 

• physically fit and enjoy the great outdoors

• a team player

• reliable and have own transport

Nursery Apprentice

A fantastic opportunity is available for an enthusiastic and dedicated  person to join our friendly team in the nursery as a Horticulture Apprentice.

As a Horticulture Apprentice in the nursery we will develop your skills in:

• plant care and maintenance

• nursery production

• plant propagation and identification

• sales and stock displays

• pest and disease management

This is a great opportunity to be mentored from senior horticulturists. The right candidate will receive on-the-job training and be required to attend TAFE to complete Certificate III in Horticulture.

The successful candidate will be:

• passionate about native plants and horticulture

• self-motivated and keen to learn 

• physically fit and enjoy the great outdoors

• reliable and have own transport

Landscape/Revegetation Apprenticeship 

Parks & Gardens

Wariapendi Native Nursery is committed to the enhancement of our natural environment across the Southern Highlands. For over 38 years we have enriched our natural surrounds and encouraged the use of native plants in residential gardens and large-scale properties. 

A rare opportunity is available for an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join our Landscape and Revegetation team as Horticulture Apprentice.

As Horticulture Apprentice in the Landscaping team we will develop your skills in:

• revegetation and creation of sustainable landscapes

• knowledge of plants and land management

• working with tractors and other farm machinery and equipment

• plant care and maintenance

• landscaping, tree planting and turfing

This is a great opportunity to be mentored by senior horticulturists and gain intimate knowledge of native plants, working from country estates to large-scale properties. The right candidate will receive on-the-job training and be required to attend TAFE to complete Certificate III in Parks and Gardens.

The successful candidate will be:

• passionate about native plants and the environment

• self-motivated and keen to learn 

• physically fit and enjoy the great outdoors

• reliable and have own transport
